Meet Our Staff

Lisa Luehrs, MSW, LCSW

Lisa loves the diverse and amazing cultures in our world from rural to city or one country to another, she loves them all.  She has consulted on various cross-cultural issues in mission work and cultural transitions. Due to her unique interest in other cultures, part of Lisa’s Psychology Degree from Webster University included an emphasis in International Studies. Furthermore, she completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work and Non-Profit Administration at Saint Louis University.

Lisa is a licensed social worker trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, MRT, motivational interviewing,  and internal family systems therapy. Using a strengths perspective and evidenced based therapies, Lisa has the ability to come along side of people assisting them in healing wounds of the past.Lisa is also very involved in working with trauma, PTSD, and other anxiety issues. She works closely with Emergency responders and Veterans. She has a passion to keep nurses, firefighters, police and all other emergency responders living with a healthy mind and body, helping them recognize early signs of possible interfering behaviors keeping them out of therapy and enhancing their personal. family and professional lives.

Though she grew up in the Franklin County area, Lisa has a particularly strong desire for people to utilize their gifting’s and embracing who they are and who they are becoming in the world and well as understanding each persons uniqueness in our society. Her love for people drive her to make the best use of her time no matter where she is. One way she find the best use of her time is through development of self care presentations and clinical counseling services. Lisa has been leading people to make better decisions in life since 2001 when she realized while working at Ground Zero with people in the midst of facing disaster. Ever since then she has relentlessly pursued using her abilities and training to help hurting people experience hope and healing, as well as educating people to pursue their goals and dreams.
